Step 6:

Now, as we did for the air intake, grab the faces we created for the wing root and extrude them. Don't be shy, give 'em a pull. Don't worry about the other side as we will be cutting the mesh in half and mirroring it later. You can reflect on the other axis now but it's easier to work on one side at a time.  

Step 7:

Next add some edge loops and continue to shape the wing root and tip. You still want to keep it simple but have enough geometry in place for a nice mesh smooth. Keep in mind that edge loops = more faces , so don't go crazy.

Next, shape the trailing edge of the root. You can use the same edge loops to give a nice taper to the root as well.

Don't forget to check the bottom of the mesh. Note .... you should be checking your mesh in all views as you move along. Nothing is worse than tweaking a really cool shape, only to realize you have selected a unrelated vert on the back side of the mesh. =(
